Fabulous Party Yacht – Fort Lauderdale and Miami Itineraries
None of the Party Boat routes and itineraries involve traveling out on to the open ocean. Party yachts are There are many marinas and hotel docks in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas that are ideal for the start of your wedding or special event cruise. You can see these clearly on Our Interactive Map. The comments refer to 3 to 5 hour cruises originating fro each marina. From South to North:
Dinner Key Marina
The waters around Dinner Key are shallow so only small party boats are allowed into this marina. Cruising routes from here would be in and around Biscayne Bay. There are good parking facilities around this marina. It can be difficult to book a dock more than 3-4 weeks out.
Hyatt Hotel Marina
Out of town guests can stay at the hotel, and there is ample parking with group discounts available. Typical routes from this marina, would mostly include ducking under the Rickenbacker causeway and traveling South down along Key Biscayne and across Biscayne Bay to Dinner Key, past Vizcaya Mansion and back up to the marina.
Bayside Marina
Excellent for corporate and social events but is often crowded on Fridays and Saturdays so Weddings become a “public” event. Can feel a little commercial and is not a Boat Miami recommended location for a wedding or special event. Great for dropping off large groups for a corporate dinner or birthday etc.
Miami Beach Marina
Can be quite expensive since they charge dockage based on the number of guests.
Sea Isle Marina
This is a good location located at the East end of Venetian Causeway. Close to downtown. However, it is a long walk to any boat that has a dock on the outer wall and that fact needs to be taken into consideration when booking in the summer.
Sunset Harbor Marina
For smaller events on smart boats. This marina is quite exclusive and does not like the larger party boats with over 100 guests. Not a commercial marina and has many restrictions.
Fountainbleu & Eden Roc Hotel Marina
An excellent location for guests staying at any of the great Miami Beach hotels. The down-side is the limited cruising route. You cannot get to see the beautiful Miami down-town skyline and backdrop during a 4 or 5 hour cruise.
Haulover Marina
Commercial complex on the Miami Beach and just South of Sunny Isles . Usually quite uncrowded but cruises originating from this location have to cruise up or down the Intra-Coastal Waterway and have limited views and items of interest.
Westin Diplomat Hotel and Marina Dock
The dockage of choice for guests at this lovely hotel. Again the views during a 3 to 4 hour charter are limited to homes and businesses along the Intra-Coastal waterway. It does have a covered walk way from the hotel and it does have a great dock side ambiance with it’s tikki bar and waterfalls. Very pretty location and a great backdrop for photos.
Pier 66 Marina
A very nice starting point for Fort Lauderdale cruises, the scenic views of Port Everglades and downtown Fort Lauderdale are great.
Hilton Hotel Dock
An alternative to Pier 66 but difficult to obtain dockage.
Bahia Mar Marina
An excellent pick-up point location for boarding. There is even a nice secluded area where couples can arrange to get married on land before the wedding cruise. Tends to be on the expensive side though. Good parking but not free parking.
Riverwalk Docks
A good location for smaller boats. Larger charter yachts have trouble getting up and down the New River.
Doubletree Hotel Dock
Always a good option for charters out of FLL. Excellent for wedding charters, the route can take you either up or down the intra-Coastal waterway.
Tranquility Harbor
A good location for selected party yachts. Quite private, with a choice of either going North or South on the Intra-Coastal Waterway.
The Cove Restaurant Dock
An alternative Boca pick-up location. Has restrictions on times.
The Boca Resort and Country Club
A very exclusive venue with complicated requirements. For a boat to get dockage here one of the guests must be registered at the hotel or a member of the club.
Veterans Park Dock
Can be used on a selective basis for charters originating in the Delray / Boynton area. Only one transient slip is available. Great location on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.
West Palm Beach
We have a couple of good choices but all have quite high fees. However, this can sometimes be less than providing transport for guests especially for a wedding.
