Sailing Vacations in the Bahamas and the Florida Keys
The Bahamas and the Florida Keys provide some of the most incredible experiences for yacht and catamaran sailing vacations in the world. Why not charter your own private yacht and explore the pristine waters of the Bahamas or the Florida Keys or even Cuba.
Boat Miami offers you an incredible selection of private vessels that take paying guests for a few days, or a few weeks. You will, of course, sleep on board and take one or two or more meals a day that are prepared by your private chef on the boat. Groups of 8 to 10 or 12 guests make for the best and most fulfilling experiences.
For a complete guide to the Islands of the Bahamas please click on this link. This is one of the most comprehensive guides to sailing in the Bahamas available on the Internet. And yes, we wrote it ourselves from firsthand experience.
We do not encourage our clients to use vacation yachts as alternative transportation to Nassau or Freeport. It’s always better to fly. As an example, it takes two whole days on a motor yacht from Miami to Nassau. Three days on a sailing boat or catamaran.
It is our pleasure to offer up one of the best yacht search engines in the business so you can find the yacht or catamaran that best suits you and your family or friends. The crew makes the charter, so they say. Very true, we offer detailed crew profiles of the best yachts in this area.
The best time of year to cruise the Bahamas is definitely during the summer months – May – June – July, August – September, even October. Yes, of course we’ll try and steer you clear of any tropical weather, but it is the season.
We always recommend that our clients pick up their Bahamas charter vessel IN THE BAHAMAS. We don’t necessarily suggest that you cross the Gulf Stream in your charter yacht.
You can, of course, travel down to the Florida Keys almost in any weather as there are several options depending on the weather and including the smooth waters of Hawk Channel inside the barrier reef.
Winter, of course, is also quite warm but the weather can be affected by the continental cold fronts that sweep across the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas every couple of weeks or so. So, in winter, if you want to organize a get-away in the Bahamas, try to get as far South as possible where you will be minimally affected by the frontal weather.
